Lutherans and Catholics are showing us what it means to be of one heart and love alike. To this end we pray for them, asking that our God will make them worthy of his call and will fulfill by his power every good resolve and work of faith, so that the name of our Lord Jesus may be glorified in them, and they in him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ. Jesus points out two characteristics of toxic faith that true disciples attempt to avoid. The first attribute is self-righteousness. The second is a judgmental spirit. In a culture of overachievers we need to learn to be dependent upon God’s grace and not our own achievements.
Hope is built on what God is doing, not on what we can do. It is because of God’s love, because of God’s forgiveness. It is all God’s work.
Redeem our current circumstances! Sometimes all that needs to change is your perspective. God has brought us to where we are now and God will be with us as we go into the future.
Faith is more caught than taught. When parents, and members of the church, live out their Christian faith, values, and standards, their children soak it up.
