Today congregations around the world remember and recall a seminal event from 501 years ago. On October 31^st, 1517 Martin Luther tacked a folio sheet of debating points to the castle church door at Wittenberg, Germany. Instead of sparking a discussion, it spawned a revolution. The Reformation! WE are the Heritage of that reformation. Come, let us also be reformed. And always reforming. (Reformation Sunday)

The idea that the stars of Heaven declare God’s glory is not a new concept. But today’s psalm specifically states God – quote: “determines the numbers of stars”. Even more amazing, scripture Says God also knows you…through and through! And cares about everything that concerns you. Let us too be Star struck by the glory shining from Heaven’s throne!
Did you know that World Wide Communion began as a tradition in the Shadyside Presbyterian Church? (Pittsburgh, PA; I’ve worshiped there on that day and seen the gold plaque sunk into the Chancel floor commemorating same.) Here’s a simple sermon on the power of Jesus nurturing us today, through the Power of his blood and body! As we begin our inexorable trek towards Advent and Christmas, let us prepare our hearts and minds for the Adventure of this faith journey ahead.
