Being a Child of Deaf Adults
Pastor Raymond Meester is a Child of Deaf Adults (CODA). He also has 4 deaf uncles and aunts.
While attending seminary in New Jersey he worked at the state school for the deaf and was awarded an "Honorary Membership" in the Junior National Association of the Deaf. He is conversant in sign language and a member of the board of the Nebraska Commission for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing.
About Our Interpreter
Frances Beaurivage has been a professional interpreter for more than 20 years, but has been interpreting for most of her life, as her parents are both deaf.
Her full time employment is with Boys Town National Hospital, in the EIPA Diagnostic Assessment program.
In addition to her work with Boys Town and Heritage, she does other types of community interpreting and training workshops for interpreters.
She has her RID National Certification, CI/CT.
