Erica Nelson, Pastor
Originally from Ogden, Utah, Erica has a Bachelors Degree in Social Work with a background working with foster children. In 2015 Erica answered the call to ministry and moved to Texas to continue her education at Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary, earning her Master of Divinity degree in 2018. After working for an interfaith advocacy non-profit organization in the areas of immigration and climate change, she now finds herself filling her call to ministry from the pulpit as a pastor as of September 2021. At the local level, Erica is the Stated Clerk for Homestead Presbytery. At the national level she serves on the Advisory Committee on Social Witness Policy for the PCUSA. A self-described 'social introvert', Erica enjoys board games, watching movies or tv, or just simply hanging out and spending time with Ollie, her cat. |

Evan Mott, Choir Director
Evan is a Junior at UNL, studying Music Education. He grew up in Omaha where he found his passion for music. Fun facts that aren't obvious: He has a beloved cat named Skippyjon Jones, he likes to go on runs, and he has completed all of his New Year resolutions he’s ever made. Learning about the world and other people is one of his greatest pursuits. Thus, he feels blessed to be given the gift of this community’s voices and can’t wait to see what he can learn from them. He hopes to meet all of the church members and would like to extend a welcome to them to sing with the choir, anytime. |
Jan Malone, Organist
Jan is the talent on the keyboards during worship services at Heritage playing both the organ and the piano. Having retired in 2024 from working for the State of Nebraska, she keeps busy making beautiful music both in church and as the conductor/pianist for the Nebraska Wesleyan University Theatre. |
