We acknowledge that all we have is from God. We also acknowledge that it takes financial as well as human resources to fulfill God's mission for us. To this end, we share in gratitude what we have received to further the ministry of Heritage.
Generous giving is how we are able to accomplish as much as we do in our ministry. The Session provides careful oversight while being fiscally responsible with the donations received. There are a variety of ways to share your financial gifts, the most simple being the offering during worship each Sunday. Other options include online giving (see below), donations of stock, donating through qualified charitable distributions from retirement accounts, and even through estate planning. Donations to Heritage Presbyterian Church are tax deductible and can be mailed directly to the church if you are unable to be present for worship.

Please remember that donations to Heritage Church will never be solicited via email from the pastor. Any emails received requesting money that appear to be from the pastor are not legitimate and should be disregarded.
There has been another uptick in scam e-mails being sent to Homestead Presbytery members asking for gift cards to be bought and then they promise that they will reimburse for the cost. A Homestead Presbytery Pastor or Church will NEVER ask you to purchase gift cards by e-mail in this manner. If you have received an e-mail please disregard it!

In order to keep this from directly impacting our finances at Heritage, each member is encouraged to contribute this amount above and beyond their regular giving. The per capita amount for 2025 is $38.54, which is distributed to General Assembly, Synod of Lakes and Prairies, and Homestead Presbytery. For more information, please watch this short video.

Special Offerings of the Presbyterian Church
In addition to our regular giving to the church, through four church-wide Special Offerings Presbyterians feed the hungry, respond to disasters, care for the sick, minister to children and youth, support racial ethnic education, train young adult leaders, and make peace in homes, communities, and nations. |
One Great Hour of Sharing: Supporting ministries of compassion through causes addressing hunger, disaster, poverty, climate change, and immigration/migration and refugees; February 18 - April 5, 2026
World Communion Offering: Cultivating reconciliation by supporting racial and gender justice, peacemaking efforts, global witness and nurturing ecumenical and interfaith relations; September 6 - October 4, 2026
Christmas Joy Offering: Supporting causes and ministries that serve God's children, including youth and young adults, leadership development for people of color, and servants of the church in need; November 29 - December 20, 2026
